The motorcycle slammed into the guardrail, then flew off the road and caught fire.
The centaur who was involved this morning in a terrible accident which took place around 7.30 at kilometer 336 of the Statale 125, in the Arzachena area, is dying.
According to preliminary information, he lost his legs in the impact against the protective barrier at the edge of the roadway. He was transported in desperate conditions to the hospital in Olbia.
The crash, at the intersection with the SherGan restaurant, would have occurred during an overtaking.
On the spot, in addition to the 118 rescuers and the traffic police, also a team of the Arzachena firefighters, to put out the fire that started from the motorbike, which was spreading to the surrounding vegetation.
The road has been closed to traffic.
