A 53-year-old businessman from Olbia was sentenced to nine months in prison and to pay 38 thousand euros in compensation for an alleged scam against a couple. The man apparently offered the victims a successful business deal, a new job and managerial roles within a company active in the nautical sector.

The alleged victims of the scam are two people from Olbia, husband and wife, who confirmed everything in court.
We are talking about a modern shipyard, with a well-organised company entrusted with the task of finding customers. The couple gives their availability to support the investment. It is explained to the two that they need money for electricity and telephone bills, legal expenses (commercial and corporate law consultancy) and the costs of an equipped warehouse.

The victims begin to pay the money and leave their jobs to be able to dedicate themselves to the new business. The construction site, however, has never been opened and there is no project presented. Judge Marchesa Bechere granted the conditional suspension. The entrepreneur was defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Corda, the victims were represented by the lawyer Eleonora Bianco.
