Yesterday morning at Alghero airport , the Carabinieri arrested a man suspected of evading the crime . The man, already under house arrest since last August for previous judicial matters, was stopped while attempting to board a flight to Rome.
During routine checks at the airport, officers became suspicious when they saw the man waiting in line for security , despite having a valid travel ticket. Further investigations confirmed that he was violating the precautionary measure, which prohibited him from leaving his home.
By order of the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, which is coordinating the investigation, the man was arrested and taken to Bancali to await a validation hearing.
