A 41-year-old Romanian man, resident in Guspini, was reported for illegal waste management after being stopped by the Montevecchio Carabinieri during a territorial control operation on Wednesday evening.

The man, a worker, was caught driving a Fiat Iveco Daily, which is registered with the National Register of Environmental Managers. However, during their investigations, officers discovered that the vehicle was transporting numerous solar panels, a type of waste not included among those authorized for the company to which the registration is registered.

Further investigations revealed that the waste identification forms presented by the driver were expired , further aggravating the man's situation. The transported material was placed under criminal seizure and made available to the judicial authorities.

The 41-year-old was then reported at large for violating Articles 256, paragraph 4, and 258, paragraph 4, of Legislative Decree 152 of 2006, relating to waste management.
