From the reconstruction carried out, the 40-year-old entered - on 31 July last - a pensioner's house, next to a bar, and through a window left open he was able to access the public exercise where he had also damaged the slot machines to withdraw the money contained within them. 970 euros in cash, a laptop and a mobile phone were missing.

To escape quickly, he had appropriated the Yamaha motorcycle that was in the garage of the pensioner. But while he was walking along via Dessì he had lost control of the two wheels, ending up on the ground. The fall had made treatment necessary and he had presented himself at two different times at the “Nostra Signora di Bonaria” hospital, in San Gavino Monreale, and at the Santissima Trinità in Cagliari, in the maxillofacial department. On those occasions he had had to provide the identifying elements, those that allowed the carabinieri to trace him back. On the place where he had had the motorcycle accident, a molar tooth of the lower arch was recovered, the one that the man had explained he had lost when he arrived at the hospital in Cagliari.
