A pensioner from Orune, Francesco Goddi, who has been living in Olbia for a long time, was sentenced to five years and four months in prison. Goddi, 76, involved in the De Megni kidnapping, was found responsible for events that occurred in 2023.

He had been arrested in Olbia by the Carabinieri because he was found in possession of several dozen grams of cocaine and three pistols, one of which had the serial number erased. The prosecutor had asked for five years of imprisonment, while Goddi's defense, criminal lawyer Cristina Cherchi, concluded for an acquittal, because the cocaine and the three pistols would not have been available to the pensioner.

According to the criminal lawyer, the material seized by the Arma personnel was not in Goddi's house. A thesis that did not convince the judge. The lawyer Cristina Cherchi announced the appeal.
