"I waited four years to speak, so now I want to be heard."

This is what was reiterated by the girl who accuses Ciro Grillo and three other young people - Edoardo Capitta, Vittorio Lauria and Francesco Corsiglia - of sexual violence , an episode that allegedly took place in a villa in Porto Cervo in August 2019.

During the last hearing of the trial which is being held in Tempio, the young woman, as already happened on Tuesday during the examination of prosecutors and civil party lawyers , the young woman - "interrogated" by Antonella Cuccureddu , defender of Corsiglia and first lawyer of the four who signed up to ask questions – had another emotional breakdown .

The lawyers of the defendants therefore suggested interrupting the hearings, acquiring only the statements already made.

But the young woman was categorical, reiterating, despite the state of mind she felt, her intention to continue to be listened to.

His lawyer, Giulia Bongiorno , left the courtroom around 2pm , leaving her colleague Dario Romano to continue as a civil party.

«It is a hearing – explained Bongiorno – in which naturally, doing their job, the opposing lawyers are asking a series of error-hunting questions. As often happens in these trials, it is as if the person offended by the crime was in the dock . So there are questions about how she was dressed, about previous attendance, about Catholic school, aimed at outlining a personality that my client has always rejected."

Also during the hearing, the lawyer Cuccureddu asked the girl some specific questions, underlining some alleged "contradictions" in her answers.

For example, Cuccureddu noted, the young woman would have said that in the villa in Porto Cervo there was a "table laden with alcohol" , but the lawyer highlighted how a photo taken that evening shows that the bottles on the table in question were no longer of three.

At the next hearing, lawyer Cuccureddu will continue his examination. Then it will be the turn of Mariano Mameli , Capitta's lawyer and gradually the lawyers of the other two defendants.
