Gonnesa, falls from the wall while climbing: the helicopter rescue intervenes

Accident in the afternoon on Mount San Giovanni in Gonnesa: a German tourist fell while climbing on a climbing wall.

It was impossible to reach the site, in an impervious area, with rubber-wheeled vehicles. For this reason, the intervention of the helicopter rescue was necessary: the injured man was recovered with a winch and taken on board, for transfer to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.

His condition is not serious: due to the fall he suffered a compound fracture to the tibia.
