They had been abandoned under a bridge , in a makeshift cage made with plastic crates and secured with cable ties : three crossbreed puppies , very small and scared, were rescued by the Carabinieri in the countryside of Golfo Aranci , following a report by some citizens.

Without the timely intervention of the citizens and the military, the puppies would likely have risked dying of starvation, exposed to the heat and without the possibility of freeing themselves .

They have now been entrusted to the care of volunteer associations in the Olbia area , who will take care of their custody.

Investigations are also underway aimed at reconstructing the dynamics of the abandonment and identifying

any responsibilities.
