The former Banco di Sardegna had closed its branch, located on the ground floor of the municipal building. The premises, owned by the Municipality, will become a medical clinic. The idea comes from the municipal administration of Giave, the center of Meilogu.

"The work has already begun - explains the mayor of Giave Gian Mario Chessa - At the end of March the new structure will be completed. The medical staff will be able to work in optimal conditions, in a better and wider service for citizens. The new clinic will also be able to be used as a base for any screening and other health-related activities ". But there is a further novelty: "The clinic - specifies the mayor - will be named after fellow countryman Prof. Marco Spissu, for his great professionalism and total dedication to work".

For the conversion of the former bank into an outpatient clinic, the municipal council has committed 15 thousand euros.
