Start of the implementation works of the water network in the municipalities of Galtellì and Tonara .

Egas, the government body in Sardinia, has approved two Abbanoa projects for the construction of new pipelines in the municipality of Galtellì and for the redevelopment of the "Istusile" purification plant in Tonara.

1 million and 100 thousand euros will be invested for this last intervention.

IN TONARA – In Tonara , the town currently conveys its sewage to two separate purification plants: on one side is the Istusile structure and on the other that of Chilisari.

Unlike the second plant, which was already modern in design and fully functional, the Istusile treatment plant, on the other hand, has yields that are not adequate to current standards. Not only that: the plant is currently in a precarious state of conservation, it is not connected to the electricity grid and any hypothesis of recovery of the existing infrastructures is impossible.

According to the project recently approved by Egas, the demolition of the now unusable old works will therefore be carried out in order to make room for the new purification plant, both from the point of view of the building structures and as regards the electromechanical equipment necessary for current needs. The new purification plant will also be calibrated to contain heavy rainfall .

IN GALTELLÌ – For the municipality of Galtellì , on the other hand, the green light from Egas concerns the project of the second lot of interventions for the redevelopment of the water network in the town's built- up area. Thanks to an investment of 520 thousand euros , new pipelines will be built in the city center for a total of over 760 meters of pipes which will affect, in detail, via Soro, vico I Soro, vico II Soro, via Mazzini, via Mannironi, via Gramsci and via Aldo Moro.
