Gallura, armed commando attacks security carriers with cigarettes: driver injured, criminals on the run

Assault on a security carrier carrying cigarettes this morning on the road that connects Tempio Pausania with Olbia, near Sant'Antonio di Gallura.

A commando in a van blocked the vehicle opening fire and injuring the driver. The robbers then fled in another car.

The carabinieri and 118 intervened on the spot and rescued the wounded, who remained conscious and in apparently not serious conditions.

The police have ordered checkpoints throughout the area to try to intercept the commandos, of which there is currently no trace.
