“Artificial Intelligence is a girl's game": this is the slogan of the "AIxGIRLS" campus, starting today. A full immersion in the tools of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for twenty girls.

The campus - promoted and organized by Sardegna Ricerche in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cagliari - the company Daxo Group and the support of the Donne 4.0 association - will be held in the Pula headquarters of the Scientific Park and Technological from Sardinia.

The students will stay in accommodation facilities not far from the Park and, in addition to the study disciplines, they will be involved in recreational activities and in a surprise laboratory to produce multimedia content.

The project - explain the organizers - was born from the awareness that women who deal with technical-scientific disciplines constitute a percentage that is still too limited even in Sardinia and that the new generations must be part of the change. Over 50 participation applications arrived.

In the chair there will be teachers from the University of Cagliari and Darya Majidi with the Daxo and Donne 4.0 group who will delve into various aspects related to artificial intelligence: from machine learning to tabular data processing, from applications to tourism and archeology up to those related to precision agriculture.

Darya Majidi is a pioneer of Information Technology in Italy. Italian-Iranian digital entrepreneur, computer scientist, expert in artificial intelligence, author, university professor, human and digital rights activist and keynote speaker. FotuneItalia, in October 2023, included her among the 50 Most PowerfulWomen in Italy and dedicated the cover of the month of October to her.
