Sportswear destined for the collection started by Renato Scanu, a Sardinian sports journalist affected by ALS, also arrives from Piedmont, who has launched a charity initiative with the aim of raising funds for research against the disease. As "Special Envoy against ALS" he asks for shirts and equipment from the clubs: all the material will be auctioned off. And the mobilization is large.

In recent days, Rosario Decrù has also arrived at the journalist's home in Carbonia . With him he had 27 pieces, including T-shirts, scarves, kimonos from teams and associations from the Susa Valley, Pinerolo, Chieri and Turin areas. And the spearhead: the Ausilium Basket Torino tank top. The clothing was collected by the Toro Club Condove Valsusa and by the Susa Valley journalist Luca Giai.

The one with Renato Scanu, explains Decrù to the online newspaper Piempontesport, «is a now historic friendship, born in 2016: we met at the Grande Torino museum, on the occasion of an exhibition dedicated to the former Cagliari legend Gigi Riva. From then on, a great friendship binds us that has been able to overcome geographical borders».

In November the journalist had written: "My battle will not end until the Lord gives me the strength to fight for this just cause: my personal non-profit organization will give us the support, which will forever bear my name, Renato Scanu, also after my earthly disappearance. I have already nominated as my follower, in the continuation of the fight against the disease, the president Luca Zanda, my trusted friend, a Sardinian sports journalist but residing in Milan, with whom I have shared exciting moments, both professional and personal. His fiancée Erika will join her, a very decent girl with a degree in psychology, who told me she was honored to hold this important social office. I hope that in spring 2023, my big dream will come true, with a charity auction, hoping to be testimonial of this great opportunity to raise funds for scientific research that needs to be financially supported".
