Twelve million euros for the safety of the roads and road infrastructures of the province of Nuoro: approximately 1,200 kilometers of roads, or 20% of the total network under the province's jurisdiction.

These are the funds of the regional plan for territorial road network presented this morning by the Councilor for Public Works Antonio Piu at the headquarters of the Province of Nuoro, where he was welcomed by the extraordinary administrator of the institution Giuseppe Ciccolini.

"The territorial distribution of resources was established with the criterion of proportionality of the kilometer-wide area of competence of each beneficiary - explained Councilor Piu - We have placed at the center of our work in the department the safety of the roads in our territories which in many cases are in a state of serious degradation, such as to represent a serious risk for public safety. The road infrastructure of the province of Nuoro is not exempt from this state of affairs, for this reason today we are concretely putting on the table important resources for the extraordinary maintenance and safety of the roads and road infrastructures of this territory".

Funds can be spent as early as 2025, but to start the works we must wait for the technical times of planning and tenders: «We will get to work immediately, as early as January I will convene the territorial tables to involve the mayors in the programming of resources», assured Ciccolini.
