Connecting local producers with restaurants, pizzerias and bars to increase the offer of quality and authenticity. This is one of the objectives of the project “From the Earth to the Table”: local producers meet quality restaurants and pizzerias.

The campaign to enhance local products and promote the short and sustainable supply chain stopped in Tempio . Organized by Confesercenti Sardegna and financed by the Regional Department of Commerce, Crafts and Tourism, the initiative includes numerous events over the next two years. In the Il Trenino restaurant in Piazza Gallura, those who produce with passion and those who offer excellent dishes met. The Tempio section of Confesercenti Sardegna created a bridge with the world of local production. The mayor of Tempio, Gianni Addis, and representatives of the restaurant world were present.

Gianni Simula, provincial director of Confersercenti del Nord Sardegna, explains: «With the project “Dalla Terra alla Tavola” we want to raise awareness in the restaurant sector about the importance of choosing zero-mile ingredients, not only for the quality of the final product, but also for supporting the local economy and reducing environmental impact . The program includes tastings, moments of street food, guided tastings, tourist promotion of the territories and round tables on topics such as seasonality, sustainability and the value of culinary tradition».
