A failed robbery at a tobacco shop on Via Carbonara in Monserrato. Unknown assailants, arriving in a van with burglary equipment to lift the shutter, managed to escape just before the Carabinieri arrived, disappearing without a trace.

The military recovered the equipment abandoned by the criminals, launching a search and then an investigation. It has not been ruled out that the perpetrators were an organized gang that has previously committed thefts in the area and its hinterland.
