In the municipality of Osilo, there is a celebration for the hundredth birthday of Sister Angela, born Maria Fiori, who blew out her candles yesterday, Saturday 14 September. The nun born and raised in the village has worn the licentiate habit for about eighty years and has lived in Cagliari for forty years. On this occasion, the mayor of Osilo, Giovanni Ligios, together with the councilor Salvatore Manca, did not want to miss meeting her.
They went to the capital to offer her their best wishes and to present her with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the entire municipal administration.
"Some goals, even if individual, have become collective heritage", said the mayor. Celebrating Sister Angela were her loved ones, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who did not want to miss the special day.
