Sardinia exceeds 47 degrees: 47.2 degrees were recorded to be precise by the ARPAS meteorological monitoring network in Ollastra . Record temperatures were also recorded in the Oristano area, with 46.5 degrees also being recorded in Bauladu . In Orani , however, 46 degrees were recorded. Again, in Uras , the temperature reached 45.8, while in Guspini, San Gavino, and Barumini, the temperature reached 45.7 . Many other locations above 45: Carbonia, Ballao, Ottana, and Palmas Arborea 45.3, Iglesias 45.2, Santadi 45.1, and Samugheo 45 .

These data demonstrate the extraordinary heatwave currently hitting the island. The average maximum temperature recorded today in Sardinia is above 40 degrees Celsius.

The “lowest” maximum, if it can be called that, is the peak temperature recorded in Santa Teresa di Gallura: 30.5 degrees.

During the night, minimum temperatures reached tropical levels (never below 20 degrees Celsius) almost everywhere. The darkness did not help in Narcao, where the temperature did not drop below 28.7 degrees Celsius: it was the hottest area. The air was cooler in Villanova Strisaili, where 13.7 degrees was recorded.
