Sardinia reached 46 degrees Celsius: this is the temperature recorded in Orani by the local Arpas network station. Today's record, with data updated at 5:00 PM, comes from the town in the Nuoro province.

The other two centers on the podium of the infernal day are in the Oristano area: in Uras the column reached 45.8 while in Palmas Arborea the heat reached 45.3. Iglesias also exceeded 45 (45.2, to be precise).

The “lowest” maximum, if it can be called that, is the peak temperature recorded in Santa Teresa di Gallura: 30.5 degrees.

During the night, minimum temperatures reached tropical levels (never below 20 degrees Celsius) almost everywhere. The darkness did not help in Narcao, where the temperature did not drop below 28.7 degrees Celsius: it was the hottest area. The air was cooler in Villanova Strisaili, where 13.7 degrees was recorded.
