Fonni: Man pays three thousand euros for missing car; two reported

He had paid three thousand euros to buy a car he found on an online ad, but the vehicle never arrived .

The victim of the scam was a citizen of Nuoro who, after seeing a listing offering a discount, initiated negotiations with the alleged sellers, making a bank transfer to close the deal. However, after the payment, all contact was interrupted.

The man had no choice but to file a complaint with the Carabinieri at the Fonni station, who launched an investigation and identified two people whose names were the card and phone numbers used in the scam. The two were charged with fraud while at liberty.

Investigations are continuing to verify any other victims.
