The risk of increases is spreading with a certain force on air continuity in Sardinia , even if the path with which airlines will be compensated for the surge in fuel prices has yet to be decided.
The literally doubling of jet fuel costs may make an immediate fare revision acceptable, at least on paper. So much so that an operational proposal already exists: for flights from Cagliari, Olbia, and Alghero to Rome and Milan, Aeroitalia is requesting "a sixteen-euro increase per flight . Otherwise," says CEO Gaetano Intrieri, "we cannot continue."
Meanwhile, today in Rome, the summit on fuel prices reopens. At the Ministry of Transport, the Government is meeting with the Region and companies.
