Fire in the countryside of Silanus, more than 600 bales of hay on fire

A large fire broke out this morning shortly after 11 in a barn in the countryside of Silanus . The fire involved 600 bales of hay plus 80 additional round bales that were inside the structure.
The fire brigade team arrived from Macomer on site, while two other tankers from Macomer and the Nuoro headquarters were also sent to support the firefighting operations. The rapid intervention of the fire brigade prevented the fire from causing damage to the people and animals present on the farm .
The operations are still ongoing and are expected to be long due to the large quantity of material involved. After the fire has been extinguished, the site will be reclaimed and made safe with the consequent investigations to try to reconstruct the possible causes of ignition.
