Sardinia continues to burn. The most worrying fire of the day broke out this afternoon in the territory of Codrongianos, in the locality of Mela, a short distance from the Basilica of Saccargia. The flames threaten the monument.

At work are the personnel of the Ploaghe station command of the Forestry, with the support of two helicopters that took off from the bases of Anela and Alà dei Sardi (SuperPuma). The intervention of a Canadair was also requested.

On the ground, a team from the Forestas Agency, the Barracelli of Muros and Ossi and a team of firefighters intervened.

Flames, since the early hours of the morning, also in Siligo, in the "Padronos" area.

Two helicopters from the Anela and Bosa bases intervened here.
