Fire at Capo Comino: the kiosk destroyed and the pine forest hit, an attack cannot be ruled out

The fire that last night kept firefighters from the Siniscola Fire Department busy for over four hours last night started from the Capo Est kiosk not far from the dunes of Capo Comino beach .

The first flames spread around 10.30pm in the pine forest of Capo Comino, close to the beach.

The structure, very popular during the summer season and which offers a refreshment point to many tourists, was completely destroyed . No leads have been ruled out even if investigators have found no traces attributable to an attack . In the past the structure had been the subject of a similar but less serious act.

The fire brigade teams took long operations and worked for over 4 hours to extinguish and clear the fire as well as contain the spread of the fire compared to the rest of the pine forest. In addition to the Sinsicola team, the tanker from the Nuoro headquarters was also sent to support the site. The carabinieri and barracelli were also present.
