Fifty years of Arst: «Ready for new challenges for the mobility of Sardinians»

«June 20, 1974 is a fundamental date for the promulgation of a new regional law, number 16, which defined the new rules for the reorganization of the Sardinian regional transport company and laid the foundations for its evolution according to a dual objective: to create a unitary network of services capable of guaranteeing uniform services throughout the territory and promoting the economic and social development of Sardinia through the indispensable contribution of the transport system". Thus the sole administrator of Arst, Roberto Neroni , retraced half a century of history at the Lazzaretto dei Cagliari which, as part of the initiatives for the celebration of the first 50 years of Arst, hosted an event with the participation of the regional transport councilors Barbara Rosanna Laconi is missing from the Defense of the Environment. «2024», said the sole director Roberto Neroni at the start of the day while hosting, «marks a significant milestone in the public transport system in Sardinia with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Arst».
«Originally born from the absorption of various companies that distinguished themselves in the field of automotive mobility, including Scia and Satas», highlighted the central director Carlo Poledrini, «Arst went through a further phase of expansion which culminated in 2010 with the merger, by incorporation, of the rail transport companies: Ferrovie Meridionali Sarde (FMS) and Ferrovie della Sardegna (FdS). All this has made Arst an important public transport reality distributed throughout the island through various multimodal forms, with car, rail and metro-tram services". Geppi Cucciari and Luca Telese spoke at the event at the Lazzetto.

Today Arst is a large regional company present throughout the territory: the largest public transport company in Sardinia and among the largest in Italy.
