The feast of Sant'Antonio Abate is very popular in Northern Sardinia and in many towns it is organized very carefully by the appropriate committees.

In Mara , the center of Villanova, on Tuesday 16 January the events will start at 4pm with the celebration of the Holy Mass in the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. The blessing of the fire is scheduled for 5pm in Piazza Piu Arru, where refreshments will also be served. From 7pm there will be a roast with pork and traditional Mara sausage, accompanied by songs and dances.

A few kilometers away, more precisely in Padria , on Tuesday 16 January, at 5pm, Vespers and Holy Mass will be celebrated in the parish church of Santa Giulia. The flags will be accompanied by accordionist Antonello Salis. At 6pm there will be the blessing and lighting of the fire in Largo Giuseppe Mazzini. From 8pm onwards, roast meat will be served. A new liturgical function will be celebrated on Wednesday 17 January at 11am.

There will also be a party in Olmedo . Also on Tuesday 16 January, at 6.30 pm, the lighting and blessing of the fire will take place. The program includes musical entertainment with Daniele Murroni and Sardinian dances with Guido Vercellino's accordion. The Committee will offer penne all'arrabiata or tomato.

Sant'Antonio Abate will also be celebrated in Cossoine thanks to the spontaneous committee and the local Avis, of which he is the patron saint. Vespers and Holy Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 16 January at 6pm in the church of San Sebastiano. At 6.45pm, in the square in front, "Fogulone" will be lit and blessed. At 7.30 pm there will be a tasting with untinadu bread, farre and saltizzone for everyone. On Wednesday 17 January at 6pm, again in the church of San Sebastiano, the solemn liturgical mass will be celebrated. The blessing of the images and refreshments will follow.

There is also a celebration in Burgos , the center of Goceano: at 5pm the Holy Mass will be celebrated followed by the blessing of the fire. The liturgical function celebrated by the bishop, Monsignor Corrado Melis, and the changing of the flag are scheduled for Wednesday 17 January, at 4.30 pm.
