Moments of fear on the coast of the Municipality of Valledoria. A 56-year-old German tourist risked drowning in front of La Ciaccia beach in the afternoon. Given the summer temperatures, the man jumped into the water to indulge in the last swim of the season, pushing himself out to sea. The sea seemed calm. Then a tidal wave dragged him away, when at one point he was spotted by some swimmers while swimming with difficulty. To help him they did not hesitate to dive into the water, managing to drag him ashore when he seemed to be at the end of his strength.

When the 118 ambulance was alerted, the 56-year-old, after receiving the first treatment, was transported to the hospital in Sassari for investigations. Carabinieri from the local station also intervened on the spot.
