Sassari, car thefts in via Principessa Iolanda: one arrest

Arrested in Sassari for attempted aggravated theft, damage and unjustified possession of altered keys or lock picks.

On June 18, the Carabinieri, who received a report from citizens, caught a man red-handed in Via Principessa Iolanda who was wandering among cars after having forced one open using two lock picks.

The investigations revealed that the person, before being stopped, had forced open three cars parked on Via Iolanda and had stolen some glasses from two of them.

The man was arrested by the military while the stolen goods were returned to their rightful owners.
