In a tragic road accident, which occurred this morning at the Dualchi crossroads, along the Borore-Ottana provincial road, a local pensioner, Angelo Mele, 81 years old, a former worker from Ottana, was the victim. He was traveling aboard his Matiz.

Perhaps due to a sudden maneuver, he collided with a Polo, which was heading towards Macomer, led by a 26-year-old young woman from Ottana, Elena D., hospitalized in Sassari with the helicopter rescue. His condition is not serious.

The car driven by the victim was completely destroyed in the impact that occurred around 7.15. The carabinieri from the Dualchi station, the 118 ambulance and the helicopter rescue, then the Macomer fire brigade intervened on the spot. The carabinieri are carrying out investigations to establish any responsibilities. The victim was well known in the country.
