Traces of blood with a genetic profile attributable to the victim were isolated from the Cagliari Ris in the cars of the 51-year-old twins from Orune, Giuseppe and Mauro Contena, the only ones investigated for the murder of Mauro Antonio Carai, the 74-year-old farmer killed in stabbed on August 28 in the country's countryside.

These are the data that emerged in the evidentiary incident before the Gip of the court of Nuoro Teresa Castagna, the Prosecutor Riccardo Belfiori, the defender of the suspects Luigi Esposito and the lawyer Pasquale Ramazzotti representing the offended party.

The discovery was illustrated in the courtroom by the expert appointed by the judge, Marshal Gavino Piras del Ris of Cagliari, before the defense counsel, Andrea Maludrottu. And another genetic profile, which however remains unknown, appeared in the shirt confiscated from the suspects' home.

THE MURDER - Mauro Antonio Carai had been massacred with dozens of stab wounds in the night between 27 and 28 August twenty meters from the 389 state road. The discovery of the body, around midnight, was one of the farmer's seven children , worried that his father had not yet returned home.

The investigators have immediately followed the trail of the impetuous crime, a violent discussion that has degenerated and ended up in blood. The methods of execution appeared far from the logic of the feud.
