Farewell to Giorgio Biolchini who died in Cagliari on Thursday night at the age of 80.
He was a photographer who deeply loved his city and from his studio in the Castello district he always set out to immortalize views and landscapes. And he also immortalized the Brill basketball epic, the glory of an unforgettable moment for fans: the exploits of Sutter, Ferrello, De Rossi, Lucarelli, just beyond the mid-seventies of the last century. A team that held its own against the great battleships.
Giorgio Biolchini has recounted with his photographic talent many moments of a sporting history that also thanks to him is always alive. And then the photos of the musical forays of the Bandi Beni on TV and on stage for friendship, curiosity, fun . Many projects fruit of creative impulses and great energy.
In recent years he had dedicated himself to singing with determination and meticulousness. In 2018, in line with this new passion, he was the protagonist of the short film "Il nostro concerto" by director Francesco Piras. His son Vito remembers him like this: "Irreducible Castellano, photographer, reckless off-road driver, passionate about singing and all the arts. Generous. Fun father. Extraordinary grandfather".
