Tragedy at work in the early afternoon in the Buddusò countryside: Sergio Vannini, a 62-year-old blacksmith from Bono, busy arranging the roof of an agricultural shed, lost his balance and fell from a height of around six metres.

According to what we learn, the accident occurred when there was still no one else at work in the company: Vannini may have slipped due to the frost on the structure, early in the morning. But the time of the fall has not yet been precisely set. And only the autopsy examination will be able to establish whether he died instantly (he hit his head) or whether death occurred after a period of time, possibly to be defined.

Unfortunately it is certain that the impact with the ground was fatal. Unfortunately, the intervention of the 118 rescuers was useless: the Areus helicopter had also been alerted.

The Sassari Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into a fatal workplace accident. The Spresal inspectors of Olbia have started the surveys and the reconstruction of the construction site organizational chart.

The company will be seized.
