Fake Enel inspectors, the alarm in Nuoro: «Notify the police»

Scammers who show up at their victims' homes , pretending to be fake Enel inspectors , and then try to enter their homes with fraudulent intentions .

There has been an increasing number of incidents reported in recent days in Nuoro , and the Carabinieri are calling on the population to be on alert , reporting any suspicious activity to the Emergency Number 112.

The scammers, the Carabinieri report, show up at the homes of the victims , often alone or vulnerable, after making a telephone contact with which they establish themselves . Then, under various pretexts, they try to obtain money or sensitive information.

When asked about the matter, the relevant Enel offices communicated that it is not their practice to telephone users before checks or power cuts , but procedures require that notices be posted on the doors and walls of the buildings involved at least three days before the event.
