Resistance and violence against a public official, as well as aggravated damage. These are the allegations that led to the arrest of a lorry driver who was stopped in Tempio by traffic police officers on 26 January while he was driving a half load of cattle.

His reaction was triggered by the announcement of the need for animal control: a veterinarian should have arrived on the spot. Upon hearing of this, the transporter put it into first gear and escaped at high speed.

The agents launched into pursuit, on the road leading to Sant'Antonio di Gallura. He rammed the service car, but was blocked anyway. Feeling trapped, he threw himself at the police officers and engaged in a brief scuffle. Finished with handcuffs.
