Elmas, viale Cagliari reopens with the new roundabout

Roundabout technical tests. This morning, in Elmas, Viale Cagliari , the road that connects the center of the town with the state road 130, was reopened to traffic from 7am after two months of closure. The old CTM route has also been restored, with all the stops.

The road had been closed to allow the construction of a large roundabout at the end of the avenue , a continuation of Via Sulcitana, at the junction with state road 130. No hitches and few cars in transit, probably not all citizens know about the reopening yet . At the moment the roundabout can only be reached by those arriving from Elmas and traveling in the direction of Cagliari.

When the works are completed it will also be possible to access the roundabout from state road 130, both to return towards Elmas and to reach the road still under construction that leads to the airport. The work will probably be completed at the beginning of 2024.
