Eight people were arrested, 22 reported (two are minors) and almost 260 kilos of cannabis were seized.
Operation "Puncia" , which involved more than one hundred soldiers from the investigative unit of the operational department and the companies of Oristano, Mogoro and Ghilarza, assisted by canine units and the Carabinieri Cacciatori di Sardegna, began at dawn on Tuesday.
The military carried out 25 searches between Oristano, San Vero Milis, Cabras, Narbolia, Sedilo, Riola Sardo, Zeddiani, Nurachi ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Oristano and by that of the Juvenile Court of Cagliari.
The investigation began with the numerous control activities carried out in the summer and culminated yesterday with 8 arrests, 22 complaints and the seizure of approximately 257 kilos of cannabis; 305 cannabis seeds; cutting substance; 18 precision sling bars; 1,890 euros from the proceeds of the sales activity; 80 cartridges.
THE ARRESTED - Giuseppe Angelo Marceddu, 37, and Mattia Nurachi, 28, who are under house arrest, were arrested from Sedile.
