Through subsequent civil protection ordinances , adopted by the governor herself, also in derogation of regional legislation, the first measures will be taken for which various resources are available. To integrate the allocations for 2024 already available and equal to two million euros, there will be further funds «for the management of the ongoing emergency, postponing the distribution of the same resources between the competent subjects on the basis of the analytical quantifications of needs".

Thus, "we will be able to implement the first urgent interventions, which we will adopt through civil protection ordinances, also in derogation of the legislation in force".

Pd senator Marco Meloni also intervenes on the topic, with colleagues Nicita and lai: «Faced with the dramatic scarcity of water resources which is putting agricultural and industrial activities, the tourism sector, but above all the daily life of Sardinian citizens and Sicilians, it is imperative to adopt urgent and extraordinary measures to deal with this emergency", says the Sardinian senator, "for this reason, we have asked President Calderone for the urgent and extraordinary convocation of the Insularity Commission, in the presence of the Presidents of the Regions and the Ministers Salvini, Musumeci and Pichetto-Fratin. A direct and immediate discussion with Government representatives is necessary to discuss and plan refreshment and water supply interventions, which include not only short-term solutions, but also long-term strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change and drought on our islands".
