Drama in Sassari: blacksmith found dead in his home

They found him lifeless in his home, in via Moscatello in Sassari. The discovery last night after family members had tried to contact him by phone for three days but to no avail.

Following the alarm raised by relatives, the local police officers went to the apartment, in the historic city center, knocked several times without receiving an answer, then asked for the intervention of the firefighters of the provincial command who had to force the door to enter the house. Inside, the bitter discovery: 71-year-old Tonino Arras was found lying on his bed lifeless.

All around in order, no signs of violence, the death according to the coroner would have occurred from natural causes about 48 hours earlier. The man, who suffered from some pathologies, was well known by the residents of the neighborhood because of his activity as a blacksmith, a skilled craftsman, an activity that he had been carrying out for some time in his shop.
