A drama with several aspects to be clarified took place this afternoon in Burgos.
A girl died of starvation, most likely from lack of care and assistance, a few days after her birth.
At the center of the story is an 18-year-old girl who lives with other family members in the small town of Goceano. The birth took place at home in recent days but, as far as we know, only today someone requested the intervention of 118. Too late, when the doctors and carabinieri arrived at the house, the little girl was already dead. Probably a few days ago.
The tragic news immediately went around the country, leaving the citizens horrified and dismayed.
The Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case, entrusting the investigations to the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Sassari. Some people have been summoned to the barracks and their testimony could be decisive in clarifying the contours of the story. The results of the autopsy are also awaited to clarify the exact cause of death.
