Don Francesco Martino Mocci is no longer parish priest of the church of Cristo Re, in Valledoria.
The bishop of the diocese of Tempio-Ampurias , Monsignor Roberto Fornaciari, following the serious and recent arson attacks that occurred on Sunday 5 and Wednesday 8 January, which hit the church and the rectory of the town, has ordered , for security reasons and therefore to protect Don Mocci , the cessation of the office of parish priest of the parishes of Christ the King and Our Lady of Fatima, which in Valledoria had been entrusted to Don Mocci.
In the meantime, the church has been placed under seizure by the competent authorities who are investigating the incident . It will be reopened as soon as possible , after the sanitization of the liturgical hall, deemed necessary after the invasion of smoke and soot.
The second arson attack, carried out shortly before the end of the 6:00 PM mass , had made part of the building unusable, where some fuses had been found in various parts of the buildings, including the sacristy. The bishop could decide in the next few hours to transfer the parish priest Don Mocci to another location in the diocese.
