Dolphin beached in Olbia: looked after by swimmers and brought back to sea

A disoriented dolphin was found yesterday morning on the beach of Marina Maria, south of Olbia .

The mammal, belonging to the dolphin family, “was put back into the water and looked after by some swimmers - Gianni Bestente tells L'Unione Sarda - And at 10 the dolphin, once recovered, made it back to sea accompanied by a rubber dinghy”.

On the spot, to verify the situation, the Port Authority intervened, "but the dolphin had now gained the open sea".
