The search for the two underwater fishermen who have been missing since yesterday afternoon in the stretch of sea between Stintino and Porto Torres resumed this morning, unfortunately without success.

The fishermen, Davide Calvia and Giovannino Pinna, aged 35 and 38, both from Sassari , had raised the alarm yesterday afternoon just before 7 pm off the coast of Ezzi Mannu, communicating that they were taking on water and were forced to put on life jackets and jump into the sea .

At 5 am the ground teams of the Fire Brigade began supporting the motor vessel of divers and the coast surveillance units of the Turritan Coast Guard. There is also no news on the punt that sank after taking on water during the fishing trip .

Search operations at sea are coordinated by the Port Authority. At around 8 this morning, the Drago 144 helicopter of the fire brigade also took off to broaden the range of the searches .
