The third meeting of "Impronte, piccolo festival di cinema breve" (Impronte, a small festival of short films) will take place next Wednesday at 7 pm at the Spazio Bunker in Sassari. This free event will feature Cagliari-born director Daniele De Muro with "Horizon."

Filmed in the countryside of Villaspeciosa and Decimoputzu, the short won Best Director at the Cittadella Geo Film Festival, received an Honorable Mention at the Bordeaux Shorts Biennale, and also won Best Cinematography at the Uluslararasi Afet Festival in Ankara.

The work takes place in a dystopian future where civil society, crushed by the climate crisis, reaches its final collapse. In the borderlands, crisscrossed by survivors seeking salvation, humanity is forced to confront its primordial nature, in a desolate reality where only the law of the strongest rules.

"We selected Horizon because it's a work that pushes us to reflect on the consequences of our choices as humanity," says Francesca Murtula, the event's creator. The format was created by Mamù Storytelling, in collaboration with Monkey Run and Meridiano Zero.
