"It won't be a letter that will make me desist from continuing to work for the good of this country." These are the words of Sebastiano Maccioni , councilor and deputy mayor of Desulo , recipient of a letter containing death threats.

Head of the Forestas construction sites in the country and in command in Cagliari in the cabinet of the regional councilorship for work, he found the letter in the mailbox of his home last Friday.

The anonymous contests him to make the beautiful and the bad weather for the next jobs in the forestry yards. «Recruitments are expected for the turnover of the last 5 years in which 19 people retired. Perhaps my fellow villagers think that I am a sort of employment office, which is why they threatened me - explains the deputy mayor with responsibility for public works - I would however like to reassure everyone: the regional employment agency will manage the hiring, I will continue to take care of of my work and to do well in my role as assessor".

Administrator for 20 consecutive years in Desulo - he was also deputy mayor in Gigi Littarru's council - Maccioni says he is not at all disturbed by the intimidation . «I didn't give much weight to the letter that I immediately took to the carabinieri, whoever really wants to hurt you doesn't write you a letter - he comments - I've also suffered a few attacks in the past, so I know what it means. These are always despicable gestures, but it won't be a letter that will make me desist from continuing to work for the good of this country".
