Delays and train cancellations in Sardinia: passengers stranded for over an hour in San Gavino

Technical problems in Decimomannu are slowing down and in some cases stopping train services in Sardinia.

The disruption occurred today, January 18, due to a "technical problem on the Decimomannu line," Trenitalia reported, specifying that trains may be subject to "delays and cancellations."

Hundreds of passengers on the Sassari-Cagliari regional train have been stranded in San Gavino for over an hour. Only one shuttle to Elmas has been running so far.

At least three trains were cancelled this afternoon, and other trains arriving in Cagliari were severely delayed.
