Two investigations for corruption concern the leaders of the Region. The accusation made by the prosecutor emerges from two strands of investigation involving the president of the Region Christian Solinas, his consultant Christian Stevelli, the entrepreneur Roberto Zedda and Roberto Raimondi, general manager of the Office of the operational program management authority Eni Cbc, Mediterranean Basin.

In the past few hours, the Guardia di Finanza has seized the telephones and other electronic devices of Solinas and Stevelli. The activities of the judicial police are still ongoing.

An initial investigation, conducted by the prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia, with the hypothesis of the crime of corruption and money laundering, is linked to the house bought by the president of the Region in via dei Tritoni, a stone's throw from the Poetto in Cagliari. The investigators want to shed light on the alleged links with the purchase of some land in Capoterra, attributable to Solinas, for which Zedda had paid a deposit amounting to several hundred thousand euros.

The other affair, which the same magistrate is investigating, concerns alleged pressure for the appointment of Raimondi to the top of the Enpi: the name of the DG also resounded in the regional council, when Massimo Zedda (Progressives) had hypothesized his connection with the scandal of tax havens that emerged with the Panama Papers. Connection that the person concerned had flatly denied.

Solinas is defended by the lawyer Salvatore Casula, Stevelli has entrusted himself to Valerio Pirisi while Zedda is protected by Francesco Marongiu and Guido Manca Bitti. Raimondi, from Cagliari with interests in Umbria, has put Marco Angelini in charge of the Perugia bar.
