Corpse with feet tied found in the sea: mystery in Alghero
The victim is Giuseppe Delrio, 43 years old. The body was entangled in some ropes: investigations underway

The body of a 43-year-old was found this morning in the waters of the port of Alghero.
The body was floating between the pier and a fishing boat, in the Millelire quay , with its ankles wrapped in mooring lines.
It was a fisherman who noticed the presence of the body and immediately notified the Port Authority.
The men of the Coast Guard and the carabinieri of the Alghero Company were on site.
The body turned out to be that of Giuseppe Delrio, a homeless man from Alghero , and was recovered and placed on the pier covered by a sheet.
From initial investigations it seems that the man may have fallen into the sea and then his body became entangled in the ropes. Perhaps he was seeking shelter for the night in one of the boats moored at the dock. In his backpack he had a supply of food.
But for the moment all hypotheses are being examined by investigators and no leads have been ruled out.
