Judicial earthquake in Ogliastra. Since the early hours of the morning, the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Nuoro and of the dependent companies have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison and under house arrest and decrees for the search and preventive seizure of buildings and land, issued respectively by the investigating judge and by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cagliari against 4 suspects, for various crimes against the public administration, against property and of an IT nature.

The names

The president of the Ogliastra provincial industrial consortium, Franco Ammendola, ended up in handcuffs; his deputy, Rocco Meloni, who is also CEO of AliArbatax, the management company of Tortolì airport; Gianni Collaro, marshal commander of the Arzana carabinieri station; Roberto Arzu, unemployed from Arzana, Sandro's brother, who mysteriously disappeared in recent months.

The investigations

According to the hypothesis that emerged from the investigations carried out so far and started in April 2022, the auction sale, relating to apartments and land of a company based in Tortolì, subjected to bankruptcy proceedings, would have been disturbed by Ammendola, Meloni and Arzu. The three, domiciled in Tortolì, in agreement with each other, would have piloted the auction procedures by making potential participants desist, through multiple threats, for the sole purpose of favoring the suspect identified as the frontman of the failed entrepreneur, in the purchase of the properties at an advantageous price and lower than the real value.
In particular, according to the declarations of those who had desisted from participating in the auction, the latter would have been the recipients of obstructive attitudes and phrases in conjunction with the inspections, by the suspect who held the keys to the properties. These behaviors were then followed by explicit threats, through messages on papers found on the windshield of the car, as well as visits received at home and "good-natured" interference by third parties, with exhortations and advice to withdraw from the race.

The policeman and the forester

The investigative activity also revealed the involvement of Collaro and an assistant chief of the Forestry Corps, the latter in service at the time of the events and now on leave, and not the recipient of precautionary measures.
The marshal would have controlled, by unduly accessing the Sdi database used by the police force, with his personal user ID, 5 people who, in different periods, had viewed the properties being auctioned, then desisting from submitting offers.

From what has emerged from the investigations so far, Collaro would not have had plausible service reasons (apart from the friendly relationship with the entrepreneur undergoing bankruptcy proceedings) to carry out investigations on the people interested in the auction.

So today he was hit by the precautionary measure of house arrest and is responsible for the hypothesis of unauthorized access to computer systems.
