Cagliari is among the most quarrelsome cities in Italy with 1 out of 3 residents (33%) arguing with their neighbor. These are the results of a research by Changes Unipol, elaborated by Ipsos, on the condominium life of Italians.

According to the report, in the Sardinian capital the relations of the inhabitants with their neighbors are quite frequent for 43% of the interviewees : 30% declares that they enter into contact with the neighborhood about once a week, but only 13% indicates to do it several times a day. Nearly 2 in 10 respondents (17%) say they have no interactions with their neighborhood at all.

Neighborhood relations are defined as predominantly "normal": there is no trust, but one helps each other in case of need (in 57% of cases). However, not everything always goes smoothly, on the contrary: 1 out of 3 Cagliari citizens has had at least one quarrel or heated discussion with neighbors and, in 17% of cases, the quarrels have even occurred several times, data that make Cagliari a second city for condominium litigation only after Naples and Rome.

The reasons for the clashes: in 30% of cases, there is a fight over annoying noises or those that occur at inappropriate times , together with the "unwelcome" behavior of the neighbours, followed by decisions regarding interventions/costs of the condominium/house (19%) and pet management (19%). Furthermore, respect for separate waste collection (18%) is very important for the inhabitants of Cagliari, which clearly differs from the Italian average, which sees it as the main reason for litigation only in 10% of cases.

Compared to an Italian average of 26% of condominiums satisfied with their condominium administrator, Cagliari is instead characterized by more positive assessments, given that 38% of those interviewed promote the administrator's work with a vote of at least 8 out of 10 .

On average, Cagliari citizens attend condominium assemblies more assiduously than the national average: 53% declare that they always or almost always participate, but the percentage rises to 78% (compared to the average 72% at national level) if we also consider condominiums present occasionally. Overall, 38% of citizens say they are fully satisfied with the conduct of condominium meetings, with 22% declaring themselves "very" satisfied and 16% "fairly" . Also in this case, Cagliari shows a more positive attitude compared to the Italian average, where the overall satisfaction reaches only 20%.

Condominium meetings in Cagliari are currently almost always held in person (in 82% of cases), which is also the preferred method for 66% of those interviewed, even if 23% would still like to change and hold meetings remotely.

Finally, the inhabitants of Cagliari state that they pay on average condominium expenses of around 80 euros per month , an amount considered adequate by most of the interviewees (57%) and in any case lower than the Italian average, equal to 101 euros per month.
