The prosecutor Mauro Lavra has ordered the preventive seizure of the Azzena aesthetic medicine clinic in Olbia . The deputy prosecutor of Tempio has taken the measure on the basis of a report from the Carabinieri of the NAS of Sassari . According to the hypothesis of the specialized personnel of the force, medium and high complexity aesthetic surgery procedures were performed in the Olbia clinic "without the authorizations issued by the Region".

The thesis of the Prosecutor's Office led by Gregorio Capasso is that the permits obtained from the Regional Health Department are exclusively for low-complexity interventions. At the center of the investigation are breast augmentation operations and other plastic surgery interventions. The investigation starts from a control activity carried out by the NAS military in recent days.

The owner of the facility is the plastic surgeon Giovanni Battista Azzena , to whom the charges are being made. The investigations are not based on complaints from patients of the clinic, there are no complaints or reports.
